Casa Gea: Horizontalidad y Paisaje en Diálogo
On the sun-drenched Costa Blanca, in the province of Alicante, Casa Gea is designed as a contemporary residence deeply connected to the Mediterranean landscape. Situated on a hillside overlooking the sea, the house adapts to the topography through a series of three overlapping planes. These planes reinforce the horizontality and create a harmonious integration with the natural surroundings.
The modern architecture of Casa Gea is conceived from a perspective of lightness and transparency. Large windows frame panoramic views, while overhangs and stepped terraces expand the habitable horizon.
The house doesn’t seek to impose itself, but rather to engage in a dialogue with the land, while simultaneously blending its presence with the stone walls and native vegetation that surround it. In this way, the project becomes a natural extension of the landscape. A contemporary architectural piece that breathes with the light and lives in harmony with the Mediterranean.
The materiality of Casa Gea is understood as a balance between solidity and lightness. An architecture that exudes naturalness and authenticity in its finishes.
The local stone walls reinforce the connection to the land, adding texture and character, while the walnut wood, with its organic warmth, softens the structural solidity and creates a welcoming and human atmosphere. Large expanses of glass act as a mediator between interior and exterior, allowing light to shape the spaces.
The color palette is restrained and refined, with neutral tones ranging from luminous white to soft gray, accompanied by sandy hues that evoke the earth and the coast. Selected elements in dark metal provide definition and contrast, reinforcing the project’s contemporary character. This symphony of colors and textures creates an atmosphere of calm where architecture and surroundings merge into a single experience.
The heart of the home is organized around interconnected open-plan spaces. The kitchen, dining room, and living room form a large central area that opens onto the terraces and the sea, allowing the breeze and light to flow freely throughout the interior. The clean lines of the furniture and the warmth of the wood reinforce the visual continuity and invite a comfortable and fluid lifestyle.
The living room, with its low, rounded furniture, promotes a sense of horizontality and relaxation. Meanwhile, the kitchen, designed as a social space, combines functionality and design in an organic and serene atmosphere.
Outside, the infinity pool acts as a continuous sheet of water that reflects the sky and multiplies the perspectives, extending the architecture towards the horizon.
Casa Gea is not just a house, but a spatial experience where geometry, light, and landscape intertwine in a timeless narrative. It’s an architecture that invites you to slow down, contemplate your surroundings, and live in harmony with nature.
